Town leader of Northfringe and keeper of the River's Bend Inn. A former GRE soldier who does not talk about his previous life, he moved out to the frontier for a simpler one and built the inn to serve adventurers and remote traders. After the undead troubles it became the gathering point for the whole region. Now in his later years, with his past taking a toll on his body, he functions less as an innkeeper than as a father figure for the entire town.

About this record: art and source provenance, discrepanciesGrew up in Trayalon and heard the stories of what happened in Arla and what the Council of Trayalon did during the Gate War. As a boy he watched Peter and the knights march off to defeat Macklot and the armies of Arla; as a man he saw the ruins of the once-mighty cities built under Helmar's banner. He does not doubt the power of the ancient magic — he believes the powers that held up the world are gone, and that whatever remains has only caused war and suffering. He is deeply suspicious of the Cult of Dreams and would expel the cultists from Northfringe entirely if he had his way, for fear of bringing some unholy wrath down on the town. Still keeps his GRE soldier's armament in a chest in his quarters and would take the field if it came to that. Grace, orphaned young and raised by him, does most of the work at the River's Bend now.
