About this record: art and source provenance, discrepanciesWoke in a candle-lit cell beneath the earth with their memory stripped — no name, no face, no people, only skills and fragments of history — beside a black ring and an unsigned note promising land, title and 50,000 gold per black ring recovered, and warning that some of the others below could be trusted and some would succeed at any cost. HIS NAME means 'little nox', after the god of darkness. He has helped bring other contestants to this trial before, and is aware that the trial is generally a way to test people Onyx has been instrumental in creating — though he does not know what that means: magic, breeding, or something else. He personally believes he is of Onyx's direct lineage but has never been able to prove it. Recorded as his belief, not as fact. He has spied for Onyx, and on him, until Onyx put a stop to the latter. He carries a permanent scry that shows exactly what he sees to one person: Onyx. HIS TERMS: 'Observe all and you will be free of my gaze.' He is to work with Fuy Gieri to open the metal door and observe everything behind it. TRAIT: can use Sleight of Hand from 10 feet away if a shadow falls on the target — including a shadow cast by another person, or total darkness.
