His reactions were textbook: he sought attention in ways that turned negative, and would even take the blame for the misdeeds of his halfling friend on the few occasions she was caught. He took to tracking his brother and family through town to learn when important meetings were happening, and shadowing adversaries in hopes of bringing critical information home — generally without success.
