She is bonded to the eidolon Fen, a large bipedal wolf, and bears a rune that burns on her forehead — visible only with see invisible — recognized as the mark of Fengen, her mother, who fled Dawncrest.

The Cassius Guild ran a project to trap Fen's soul and grow a clone under their control ('Dark Fen').
The wraith Waespiro Skycaller recognized the rune on her forehead as the mark of Fengen and identified her as Fengen's daughter. Fengen fled Dawncrest; her father was a man from the tribes of Arla who honored Fengen's request to take her far from the elves — she was brought to the Golden River Empire to study at the academies and has no memory of her mother.
The Skycaller line connects her to Prince Vesion Skycaller ('Tach') of Legends of the North (h-172), roughly 110 years earlier.
