Summary
Using a captured commercial skyship and a special-forces cover story, the party enters City 2 and contacts its resistance cell. A second temple raid secures more treasure but triggers a large response before the deeper complex can be cleared.
Detailed Narrative
The party flies the captured commercial skyship to City 2 and adopts a bold cover story: they are a secret Nardic special-operations unit that recovered the vessel from Hive raiders. The deception is good enough to get through the initial customs/docking problem and enter the city without an immediate full-scale battle.
They locate the City 2 resistance and arrange for local help/diversion. The party also converts part of its accumulated wealth into useful equipment and takes advantage of the city for resupply. Amid the practical preparations, they continue thinking about Medina personally rather than merely as a mission target, buying small gifts/candy/toys for her.
Instead of moving directly to the capital, the group elects to raid City 2's Nardic temple. The reasoning is partly strategic—free captives, gather intelligence, damage the regime—and partly opportunistic, since the prior temple yielded enormous wealth.
The second temple is older and structured differently. The party infiltrates and fights its way into the upper levels, confronting priests, guards, and cultivated/controlled creatures. Baby opens locked treasury areas and the group seizes another large store of gold.
By the end of the session the upper portion of the temple is in party hands, but the basement/deeper complex remains uncleared. The raid has also generated enough alarm that a larger Nardic response is becoming likely.
