A blasted range north of Starfall, created when the Hesh pyromancer Darvik Emberchain attempted to bind this world to the Plane of Fire and destroyed a mountain in the attempt. A rift to the Plane of Fire reopened here, spewing molten rock into a creek and blanketing Starfall in volcanic ash.

About this record: art and source provenance, discrepanciesThe party sealed the rift, destroyed three Ash Wraiths and a half-summoned Fire Titan, and found a ruined Dwarven shrine at the site. Griva's Hesh lore connected Darvik Emberchain to Ember Mage Reeves — apparently a family line. Loot included a Fritz Ember Ring, an ash pick talisman, a lantern of soot light, and a Volcanic Heart Blade.
