About this record: art and source provenance, discrepanciesDawncrest built the entire underground installation WITHOUT MAGIC — Fey swept the village twice with Detect Magic and found nothing. Either philosophical consistency or deliberate operational security. The tells the party read on arrival: people in the square but no children, no dogs, chickens audible but unseen, birds perched in rows watching the road, a freshly mortared well, a house barricaded from the outside with new unseasoned wood, a blacksmith's tools laid out mid-task with the forge cold, and a carved wooden horse half-buried in the mud. Casualties: six villagers killed by Fey's Chain Lightning, two lost to sedation-withdrawal complications in the first day of recovery, thirty-eight saved. Senna's laboratory was transported whole to Starfall afterward.
