Maintains secret prisons for mages, of which The Center is one, and fields its own parallel paramilitary force of mages with a teleportation capability, kept secret from the GRE. Was preparing a coup against the Gallund family. Cassius policy created Silver Edge: the School kidnapped Danny Hall's mother and held her at The Center until she died, and he burned the school down. The School then used Silver Edge's existence to justify expanding its own power. Evidence at the Grand Inquiry indicates the School killed Ghost Squad rather than let the weapon children defect.
