League of Arms

A mutual protection pact signed by the barons to get their separate militaries used to working together — more pact than functional combined-arms treaty. Members train together and assist on raids and defence when it suits them. Its few officers overseeing communication and coordination are woefully underfunded and largely ignored, and every member barony is disappointed in its performance and wants it reformed before any nation rises. Leadership in the six armies has already begun a power struggle for control of an authority that does not yet exist.
