He earned the Empire's Shield of Honor fighting in the Arla Invasion, was wounded there, then contracted the Prisoner's Plague and nearly died; after recovering he volunteered four years as an advance scout in the Arla resistance, earning Peter's eternal thanks. He was given the eastern command when reports of abuse and lack of control reached Trayalon. He ordered the burning of Fairbreeze after the treaty signing disaster, refusing Peter's order to withdraw — the act that made him the face of GRE brutality in the Kesselands.
