Player character of The B-Team, of the Sirash clan. Well liked and respected in the tribe but yearning for the wider world. His father Albok, then clan chief, was killed in a duel to establish leadership of the Blackblade — an accidental death, as Blackblade duels are not normally fatal — leaving Groktal as leader and Arnok an orphan. Raised by his paladin uncle Hogug to respect tribal law, he never completed his paladin training and hides a side that has strayed far from Blackblade ways. Friend to Gnarl and Javol, whom he tries to steer toward a better path. Aware of a raid inside the Pavarean Empire against renegade orcs of a clan named Toth.

Physical DescriptionA half-orc man with olive-green skin, black hair swept back beneath a dark cloth headband tied across the brow, amber-gold eyes, pointed ears, a gold hoop earring, a short black beard along the jaw, and small lower tusks. He wears layered dark leather-and-steel armor — a segmented pauldron on the left shoulder etched with a gold cross-and-circle, studded leather over the chest, brown leather bracers, and a wide belt hung with pouches — with a pale cream tabard panel at the front hip bearing the same cross. Over it hangs a long hooded cloak in dark slate, ragged at the hem, carrying a large gold cross-and-circle emblem on the back above gold geometric trim. Tall, worn brown leather boots. At his throat is the Unfinished Paladin's Symbol, a gold cross within a circle; alongside it he carries the Blackblade tribal token, a dark skull-and-spikes pendant on a cord. His sword is OathKeeper's Edge, an arming sword with a gold skull pommel and crossguard over a dark wrapped grip. His bearing is honorable and steady, carrying more nobility and warmth than his companions.

Editorial (moved out of publicDescription 2026-08-01): formerly written as 'Ashok', recorded in aliases; a separate brother character was merged into him. Appearance added to physicalDescription 2026-08-01 from the character study sheet at images/0149-the-b-team-blackblade-tribes/studies/arnok.png, which is the appearance of record: front/side/three-quarter/back turnaround, expression studies (earnest, resolute, thoughtful), and labelled detail plates for the Unfinished Paladin's Symbol ('a symbol of protection and justice, not yet fully earned — but lived in every choice'), the Blackblade tribal token ('a mark of his blood and exile'), and the sword OathKeeper's Edge ('a blade carried in service to the innocent'). None of the three has an item entity, so they are recorded in prose. Art conflict: images/0149-the-b-team-blackblade-tribes/arnok.png is an older head study showing grey-blue skin and dark red hair, contradicting the green-skinned, black-haired study sheet. It also has a 'Remove' UI button baked into the image from a screenshot. The study sheet supersedes it. Neither file is published — both sit loose in the campaign folder rather than in cards/, so nothing reaches the site. Pending card slot: images/0149-the-b-team-blackblade-tribes/cards/149-arnok.png. Family and clan (from 'The Blackblade Tribe - a background.md' and '04 - The Bloodring Job.md'): father Albok, former Sirash clan chief; uncle Hogug, current clan chief and a paladin; cousin Onugug, vice chief and Hogug's son; Groktal, tribe warchief. None of the four has a character entity yet. Sources disagree on Albok's death — the Master Plot Sheet says killed in a duel for tribe leadership, the background doc says killed in battle. The Bloodring Job file also carries a DM-facing plot point about Hogug that is deliberately not recorded here.
