BackgroundA 'fluke' skeleton β a rare variant that developed sentience through exposure to the mushroom paste in the Hesh cave garden. Self-identifies as a type of fish ('a fluke β which I think is a type of fish'). Was part of Lezmara's undead mining workforce but developed awareness and opted out. Sustains himself by smearing mushroom paste from the garden into his bones. Remembers partial jokes from a past life: 'something about a skeleton drinking... goes right through him... mushroom paste doesn't though.' Not hostile, not affiliated with Lezmara by choice.

Campaign Notes
DM only β campaign-sensitive materialThe old wizard in the cave had mentioned that different skeleton variants sometimes produce something special β a skeletal mage, and the like. Raz is one such outcome, and is useful as a recurring NPC for any future delve into the caves.
