Chapter Number14
TitlePlanar Passage
Primary Location141-deepwood
Detailed NarrativeEberron: 'I am waiting to take my revenge on the ancient Hesh... those who misused me and tricked me... You shall not be allowed to stop the full power of this prison. I have aligned myself with Pavik.' Pressed: 'Pavik was imprisoned with me and he was not the one that pushed me to hide myself.' He leaves once the portal opens, his own destination close, and Farik warns that Pavik will be displeased.
Farik: 'We have been studying you... we are aware of your Bubbles and Finn of your cowardice.' To Finn: 'You could be a ruler after we conquer your lands... it was unfortunate that he killed your father.'
The Hesh prison plane is immense β far larger than the party's borrowed memories imply. A Knowledge (planes) DC 20 suggests it has been growing for a long time, likely 2,000 years, and may be another plane taken over and repurposed. A village of people is visible in the distance. The party's arrival point glows like a beacon, newly lit. The path to the Deepwood portal is clear; the path to Trayalon is murky and probably unfindable.
A Spirit Shade offers power enough to defeat Pavik, and items to protect against his magic and to separate him from his followers β at the price of becoming an outsider.
Events
SummaryInto the prison plane. Eberron and Farik hold the gate; the plane proves vastly larger and older than expected, with a village visible in the distance and a path leading only to Deepwood β never to Trayalon.
