Founding of Trayalon (Gallund River Empire) - Founding of Trayalon

ChapterPilotStarinterludeDuncan's Academyrogue rangersBrisFairbreezeCrown of SorinTrayalon-developmenttime-skip

Summary

A three-year time-skip arrives as the party returns to Trayalon and manages loose threads from previous chapters. Duncan's Monastery has become the renowned 'Duncan's Academy.' The party resolves factions, researches the gods, and prepares for the larger conflicts to come β€” with Landus still preaching against the Gallunds but without open war.

Detailed Narrative

Three years have passed and Trayalon has grown into a stable city. Duncan's Jade Lotus Monastery has evolved into an informal but regionally famous academy drawing warriors of all styles, now called 'Duncan's Academy.' Admond is tasked by Tray to find additional uses for the expanding monastery space. Freespirit is dispatched to deal with a band of about 20 rogue rangers operating in his name β€” they are chaotic neutral nature zealots led by a werebear named Bris, blocking the forest and conducting raids. The DoomGuard question remains unresolved and may yet draw more to Sorin's Crown. Simon Fairbreeze is noted as deceased, having brought revelations of Makers' Marks before his death. The village of Fairbreeze (where Simon came from) holds more information on gods and Hesh history and is flagged for future expedition. Seamus Adair's growing influence in city commerce and Solomon's spy network are both developed. A challenger named Nilmar arrives at the Monastery to fight Duncan in an exhibition match. The party explores what is known of remaining gods (elves, gnomes, goblins, orcs) and discusses how to solve the Redshield issue.

Campaign Notes

DM only β€” campaign-sensitive material

The source (05_Sections.md from 0109-05_Interlude and Loose Ends) is a planning/brainstorm chapter with many threads left open. Treat as a narrative interlude β€” primarily character development and world-building rather than a single focused plot. The rogue rangers led by Bris are important: Bris reappears in ch-08 as Admond's captor (and possibly carrying Admond's child per ch-08 source). Admond's son Peter is mentioned β€” timeline suggests Peter may be the result of the Admond/Bris encounter (flagged in dmNotes as speculative). The Crown's location is still unknown to the party but the rangers are being drawn to it by visions β€” this sets up ch-07's ranger quest.
